| Vandy vs. Virginia Tech/NC State/Purdue It was a long great weekend of Lacrosse in Nashville! 5 teams came in town to play multiple games and help raise money for the Vanderbilt Childrens Hospital. Vanderbilt started the weekend off against Virginia Tech. Ranked 13th in the nation last season. Vandy came out with a vengeance and kept the game within striking distance all 4 quarters. The 4th quarter came down to the last few minutes With the score 10-9, Tech. They continued their precise cutting and took advantage of Vanderbilt's 12 questionable penalties on the game. The final score was 13-10 Va Tech. It was a moral win for Vanderbilt, but next time we seen them we all believe we can come out with the W. The NC State game was a great time for the 2nd stringers to get playing time and rest the starters for their third game against Purdue. We have a lot of talented freshmen and sophomores and it showed this game. Although it was close Vandy led the entire game, and came out with the win 7-6. Our third game of the weekend was Purdue University. The first half Vandy came out slow only putting 1 goal in the 2 quarters. The start of the 3rd quarter the Vandy team we all know and love came back with 4 answered goals and shut out Purdue. The 4th quarter a tired commodore team sealed the deal with a final goal making the final score 6-5 Vanderbilt. This game brought the team to 4-4 going into spring break. It will be a deserved break so the team can heal their tired muscles in order to prepare for our next conference game vs Tennessee.
